A review site run by the company being reviewed is worth exactly as much as its methodology. So here is ours, in full.

What's published here right now

No reviews are published yet. Every count on this page is generated from the review data at build time rather than typed in by hand, so when reviews go up these numbers change with them and cannot drift out of step with what is actually here.

Nothing is edited

Review text appears exactly as written — typos, grammar, punctuation and all. We do not tidy reviews up, trim them for length, or lift favourable sentences out of mixed ones. A review that reads awkwardly is more trustworthy than a set that all read like they were written by the same marketing department, because that is what real feedback looks like.

Everything links back to its source

Reviews collected from Google, Facebook or another public platform carry a link straight to the original. You do not have to take our word for any of it — click through and read it where it was written, in full context, alongside whatever else that person has posted. Reviews submitted to us directly are labelled that way, because there is no public page to point at.

Every review is from a North Carolina customer

Honest Water Co is a franchise with locations in several states. Those are separate businesses, run by different people, and their customers reviewed their work. Republishing them here would misrepresent whose workmanship you are evaluating when you are deciding whether to hire the North Carolina team — and using one business's reviews to sell another is specifically prohibited by the FTC's consumer review rule.

So this site carries North Carolina reviews only. That means a smaller number than we could otherwise show. We think a real number you can verify is worth more than a big one you cannot.

Social posts are not reviews

The from the field page carries Honest Water NC's own Instagram and Facebook posts. Those are our content, not customer feedback, and they are never counted toward any review total on this site — the two are stored separately so they cannot be mixed up.

No star ratings in search results

You will not see star ratings for this site in Google search results, and that is deliberate. Google has disallowed review rich results for businesses publishing reviews of themselves since 2019. We could add the markup that tries for them anyway; plenty of sites do. We have left it out, because a site about honest reviewing should not open by breaking the rules of the platform it wants to rank on.

Are these reviews edited?
No. Review text is published exactly as written, including typos and grammar. We do not correct, polish, shorten or reorder anything inside a review body.
Can I verify a review myself?
Yes. Every review taken from a public source carries a link straight to the original, so you can read it in context on Google, Facebook or wherever it was written. Reviews submitted to us directly are labelled as such, because there is no public page to link to.
Do you publish reviews from other Honest Water locations?
No. Honest Water Co is a franchise, and other locations are separate businesses. Their customers reviewed their work, not ours. Presenting those reviews here would misrepresent whose work you are evaluating, so every review on this site is from a North Carolina customer of the North Carolina business.
Why are there no star ratings in Google search results for this site?
Because Google does not allow them here, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Since 2019 Google has disallowed review rich results for a business publishing reviews of itself. We include structured review data for machine readability, but deliberately omit the aggregate rating markup that would be against those rules.
Do you remove negative reviews?
No. Removing unflattering reviews while keeping favourable ones would make the whole page worthless, and it is exactly what the FTC’s review rule prohibits. If a review is here, it is here regardless of what it says.
